How we use dbt
In our data warehouse projects the business logic lives in dbt, with tests on every run. Among other things, we have built a warehouse with dbt on Snowflake for an automotive retail group, and moved business logic from Power Query and DAX into dbt in Microsoft Fabric for an analytics firm.
Mapping tables that change often move from seeds in the dbt project to Gridmap. The business maintains them there, and dbt reads them as a source on every run.
