How we build your data solutions
We start with the business question
We start from which decision should get easier, and build the warehouse for that.
We build where you already are
We build on Azure and Fabric, Snowflake or what you already have. We do not sell platform licences.
One definition per term
Revenue, customer and margin mean the same thing in every report, because the definition lives in one place.
You own the code
The business logic is written in dbt, version-controlled and documented, and sits in your own Git.
Calculations in the code, mappings with the business
The numbers in a report are governed by two kinds of logic. Calculations, such as how margin and revenue are worked out, rarely change and belong in tested code. Mappings and groupings, such as which account belongs to which line or which products are in a group, change all the time and are owned by finance and the business.
We build the calculations in dbt, with tests and documentation. The mappings go into Gridmap, where the business changes them without filing a ticket with IT. Both end up in the same data warehouse. When the controller changes a mapping, the reports show it after the next run, without anyone touching the code.

A finance system, a CRM and some Excel files, and a monthly report built by hand. We start with the most important sources and a first dashboard.

We add to the team, clean up what is there and build on in your Git, so you can maintain it yourselves.
Groups and listed companies
Many source systems and hundreds of users. One of our data warehouses brings together more than 20 source systems for a listed group and is used by over 250 people.

Gridmap
In Gridmap, finance and the business change account mappings, cost centres and product groups themselves, and the data warehouse picks up the changes on the next run.

Usually with the report that takes the most time to produce today. It shows which sources are needed and becomes the first step towards a data warehouse.
Not for the platforms we build on. We use Microsoft Fabric and Azure, Snowflake or what you already have, and you pay those licences directly to the vendor. Gridmap is our own product, with its own price list and a free plan.
You do. The code sits in your Git and the data in your environment, and you can carry on yourselves or change supplier whenever you like.
Finance & Logistics
Accounting, payroll and advisory are part of the same company. Our accountants work alongside the data engineers, and you can hand over both finance and reporting to us.
